Our CEO Tim Harris was privileged to join Queensland Premier the Hon Steven Miles and Minister for Energy, Renewables and Hydrogen and Minister for Public Works and Procurement the Hon Mick de Brenni yesterday to celebrate Queensland introducing the new Clean Economy Jobs Bill.
The Bill introduces laws that lock in an emission reduction target of 75% by 2035, a huge step forward in enabling our decarbonised future. It will unlock investment, create thousands of new jobs and accelerate key renewable projects. Critically it is the major platform for delivering cheaper, more reliable, renewable energy for all Queenslanders.
And a huge amount of energy storage is going to be needed to reach this target. As a proud Queensland headquartered and developed technology, we are excited about how we can play a major role in the plan.
We look forward to working with the Queensland Government to help to building Queensland’s clean economy of the future.
