The Premier the Hon Steven Miles, Hon Grace Grace, Hon Mick de Brenni, Hon Glenn Butcher and Hon Leanne Linard launched the Queensland Government’s 'Queensland Battery Industry Strategy'.

The strategy will see the government invest $570 million over 5 years with the aim of supercharging growth in the battery industry in Queensland.

This funding includes $210 million to drive development of battery standards and testing, as well as the establishment of the Australia Battery Industrialisation Centre.

We also applaud the collaborative approach the Queensland Government took to develop this important initiative.

Queensland stands as a leader in its ambitions around developing a vibrant energy storage industry and turning the plan into reality. There is lots of work do, but this is a vital first step.

Our renewable based future looks bright, both for Queensland and Redflow.
