"You want Australian made and Australian profitable energy companies and yet there is a sector now begging for batteries and these $%&^%$ have once again been late to the party and also so late now that they have to sell the dream of the next bigger battery of new unknown design all because they couldn't scale up and burnt cash and current design won't compete going forward .

So RFX clear plan is yet another unfunded dream and now reliant on govt grants etc etc ."

Maybe have a look at the different iterations of other Zn Br battery manufacturers, or those that used to be, how profitable are they, if they are, and at what volume?

How many have a cost of production lower than the cost of goods sold, if they have a saleable product?

As for being dependent on Government funds as a preferred option, Redflow is most definitely not alone in that respect, in fact in the developing LDES battery sector, possibly fairly normal. Huge orders at less than cost price don't fund expansion to profitable production, and that is not referring to Redflow, but it is where we are headed too.
