Why would you persevere with a smaller battery if the X10 takes off? At the moment so far as I know all the ZBM3 produced until early next year are earmarked to be plonked into EnergyPods, if the prototype works as planned the better choice would be make the X10 in place of the ZBM3.

ATM to make the factory usefully profitable at ZBM3 production it seems it would need to operate at a higher automation level with double shifts, and with the lack of support for the last CR there are probably not the funds to continue automating it to reach the production rate it needs. Perhaps the Thai ambassador was looking at one possible future for Redflow in Thailand?

Maybe think about it this way, for each X10 battery module you make that eliminates the need to make between 5 and 10 ZBM3s if they are going into larger battery containers like an up rated EnergyPod. Yes the Pod may be more complex with cooling now carried out by the pod not the component batteries and maybe other things too beyond the current Energy Pod. Or, at a different scale you only have to build one new uprated Energy Pod versus maybe 5 of the current model if the new version is rated to as much as 1 MWh.

Economies of scale and building to what the market (Acciona, CEC/DoE, DoD and Stanwell etc) wants. Not saying they will all progress but it is the size of installation and the battery module they need.

Maybe a smaller enclosure holding two X10 might happen later on.

Just playing around with a bunch of ideas.
