Given the collaboration extended by the ARC Hub is funded for 4 years I believe that is the window within which, if there is a solution expected to be found to "what is ultimately a practical industrial problem." it should appear.

Yes, I would expect Dr Bin Luo is across any relevent info in the review, or will make himself in modest order.

At a higher level this is what Redflow are hoping to achieve out of the project;

"“In order for us to advance our competitive position in the market, we see significant opportunity to lower our Levelised Cost of Storage (LCOS). Extending the operation of flow batteries is a key requirement for renewable energy strategy”, Mr Hickey said."

Perhaps a hint to what that actually means might be in the preceding statement to that above;

"Redflow CTO Steven Hickey said: “The goal of our four-year project is extending flow battery operation and our first priority is to employ the University of Queensland’s extensive facilities to perform advanced electrolyte analysis.”"

Fuel for speculation as to ultimate goal(s) being chased by Redflow, with my slant to issues caused by the electrolyte in one way or another, could then be obtained by reading the Concluding Remarks and Outlook from the review



And again this is not a driver with short term outcomes in the market place, it may well be in the order of years if it happens.
