Hey all - we could charter a plane, LOL, but I sincerely hope not!
It would be great to get $98 million Queenfish, but I seem to recall there were over 60 applications from over 40 companies. I imagine some of them are smaller projects that will require less capital investment e.g. maybe biomass? Not sure of the economics for biomass projects.
A Reuters news report earlier in the year said "the 50 megawatt plant, enough to power a large town, would cost between A$300 million to A$400 million" in an interview with Michael Ottaviano, so I'm wondering if WA LEED $12.5m + REDP + Investec $250m adds up to less than $400 million then maybe we can see a slightly scaled down demonstration project? With REDP of $98 million even that total is only about $360 million. Who knows. We shall see. But I'm not planning on needing a plane ticket.
