considering past performance, the state of the company, and the status of the IP, the logical conclusion is that NF is going to have his cake and eat it too. it's an out from the sinking ship. after all this, given the tangible indicators, and given you acknowledge it has been a broken record, why would the record change sides now?
plus, as others have said, potential revenues from this last ditch effort deal will be minuscule compared to what it has cost to get here, and probably won't even cover ongoing costs.
the bits and pieces you allude to in forming your view of the present situation are very little different to anything else which has come before, and at least back then there was some communication.
