I'm not sure about consumer behaviour around Mother's Day, but I would (maybe wrongly) assume that people would have already purchased gifts. Why would you intentionally launch the day before Mother's Day (if Mother's Day was your launch platform)?
I must be wrong - surely they've done their research around this.
