I'm sure the US DOE and DoD are fully aware of MP short comings as far as HREE's. In my opinion they seem to be establishing the infrastructure to process REE concentrates in the US from any source - maybe even GML, but possibly from Lynas or African sources etc. The important thing is they will have the processing capacity. The source of raw materials will sorted later.
