Today EQN reported the commencement of Drilling in Bahia East.
As far as I know this is the first auger/RC drilling by an ASX Listed Company in this area specifically targeting IAC REE deposits. Their targets are all at valley floor, and run right up to the western boundary of GMN 872237/2023. Whatever is found in these holes will be of great interest to GMN SH.
The map above shows EQN's Auger targets (white dots) and the adjacent GMN Tenement. The contours are elevation at 100m intervals (ragged at 400m).
There seems to be no preference for areas with a particular eTh measure, but areas with high Laterite Index measures were avoided (Sentinel B11/B12 avg 1.84, std.dev 0.15). ?
