The shipping issues you raise is due to customers ordering 'express shipping' during the height of festive season, which puts margin pressure on RBL a lot more than standard shipping. Do I think 'express' shipping is a long term trend? I'd say no, because personally as a shopper I hate to pay extra $$ for express unless I am really desperate and last minute. I saw it as an outlier and would be surprised 'express' starts trending up in consumer behaviour. I need to do more research, but would have thought other competitors also suffered from similar shipping issues. Would be good to see what strategies can be put in place in the future to mitigate the risks as much as possible.
