Ezicorp cant buy on the market.

There is a ?takeovers prohibition? in Chapter 6 of the Corporations Act which applies in relation to the acquisition of interests in all Australian listed companies, listed managed investment schemes and unlisted companies with more than 50 members. Under this prohibition, a person must not obtain a ?relevant interest? in issued voting shares of a company or voting interests in a scheme that results in a person having ?voting power? of more than 20%, except through one of the permitted exceptions (eg a takeover bid, a scheme of arrangement, with target security holder approval or making a permitted ?creeping? acquisition).

nothing wrong with the scheme, they just want it cheap.
Only way for ezcorp to increase control of CCV is with scheme or take over offer.

What are you doing in the market not knowing takeover rules :-)
