Why wasn't he deported? This is the biggest question. Which fool allowed him to stay in Australia - these fools should also be deported if born overseas for not looking after Australia's interests. Now, I thought if you are a refugee and commit a crime in Oz the policy was deportation. Someone/s needs to be held to account here.

As to the Vic Government, not building any more jails means as population grows the bar for going to jail for a crime is raised and those previous crimes you would go to jail for you no longer go because of jail space. Disgraceful - a real rethink of prison funding is needed in this country (commit the crime do the time even if the new massive massive jail is in the outer back Bourke).
