Ignatius Tan
Former chief executive of Galaxy Resources Total salary: $3.8 million
Apart from having one of the best names in Australian business, Ignatius Tan can also lay claim to having one of the biggest salaries.
He took home $3.8 million last financial year as chief executive of junior miner Galaxy Resources.
Galaxy mines battery-grade lithium among other things. It has had a difficult year; shares are down 73 per cent over the past 12 months. For four of these months, trading in them was suspended.
It resumed in August after Galaxy raised $17.2 million to help prop-up the development of mines in Western Australia and China.
Out of the $3.8 million paid to Tan, $3.1 million has been classified as long-term incentives. He has since left the company.
Tan’s salary equates to 10 per cent of Galaxy’s market capitalisation.
Thanks Mate.
How about throwing some of that back into the pot pay down some of that Interest debt that was accumulated over the years.
