Article in ENP today on BPT and Shale including extensive interview with Reg Nelson.
Highlights:
BPT interest in shale grew from Otway well.
Unconventional gas and oil is a real estate play.
Otway and Nappamerri are preferred areas and main shale plays.
Otway is "complementary play to dry gas of the Cooper Basin, particularly the basal section which shows signs of having potentialnof being liquids rich".
BPT and SNE have dominant position in Otway ( no mention of COE).
Shows why BPT interested in PEL 495 which also has conventional potential.
