In oder to buy into a wholesale fund directly you need one of the following.

• A statement from an accountant that you meet the rules.

• An investment of $500k or more. This approach does not require you to provide a statment from an accountant.

I don't know what happens from an ongoing requirement perspective, but it is probably more about the entry as Occam has suggested.

2016 was a bad year for most alternative style funds, Regal Atlantic included. However, with Trump in office now, hopefully the markets will trend in one direction and the alternative funds will rebound. Past history has shown that the alternative funds rebound strongly after a bad patch, hence, hopefully it will not be different this time.
