The tragedy was happened in Province du Nord Kivu, about 1,500km away from our Manono project in Province Katanga where main Chinese companies have invested in, including AVZ shareholder, HuaYou.
China signed USD$6b "infrastructure for resources" with DRC back in 2008. Main Chinese large companies are operating mines in Katanga including the 14 listed Chinese companies posted before. In that deal, DRC government/army is/will protect Chinese companies and mines.
If you have a look at Manono town where live around 20k-30k people, the town is quite remote and is isolated.
