With respect I totally accept that COVID is to blame for the delays. My wife is a medical professional in the public hospital system in Victoria. Her department has been turned upside down since this all started back in March. hugely understaffed because people have been moved to other roles within the system to prepare or accomodate care for COVID patients. Many things were put on hold because staffing was prioritised. In no way was it business as usual. I imagine it's exactly the same in the USA. Unless your research is COVID related it's on the back burner.
