It has only just become made public what the family of the slain young mother and her baby boy already knew days ago. She and her baby were murdered. Murder suicide doesn’t simply happen. There is usually a history of violence already. I’m told by those close to the mother whose life was taken too early that the perpetrator was known to authorities and that he had a history of violence.

We cannot say we have a justice system when it provides justice for perpetrators more often than it does for their victims. I think we will find that if this perpetrator had been appropriately dealt with by the so called justice system previously he may not have had the opportunity to take the lives of these two innocent souls.

It’s not just the justice system that has failed but the authorities media unit has failed to properly inform the public. The media reported that the victim was a 40 year old woman but she was in fact 30.

Details matter as do the lives of innocent Indigenous women and children taken at the hands of Indigenous perpetrators! The mainstream media are still silent! The usual outraged protesters are deafeningly silent! Where are the marches in our capital cities?! Where are the demands for JUSTICE for WOMEN and CHILDREN who keep being slaughtered at the hands of those who are supposed to love and protect them?! Where are the BLACK WOMEN and CHILDRENS LIVES MATTER protestors?!
