Unless more land is released, or people get a bit more packed in together on existing land, the inevitable outcome is another explosion in land prices.
When the investors see that they can get an investment property in an environment of low vacancy rates and it is costing them jack per month they will come flooding back and they will push prices up as they compete with one another.
The time is now, whilst you are calling the shots as a buyer. Take at least a 5 year view and you will be laughing.
