Used to be manual 1min reg halt.

Now it's automatic 2min reg halt

The 2 min automatic halt has only been operational since may 2013. its just that I have never seen it in action before. And neither has my broker who uses exactly the same screen as I do.

The market has not been volatile since then, - until yesterday, - so that is why it has not been triggered recently. I don't know of any 50% or so moves that would have triggered it since May.

Yesterday's action reminds me of the last boom, maybe the next one is almost upon us.

Ps. Today I see that one stock on screen (MBE) has a note attached to the top sell order that "it may be an iceberg order". I know about iceberg orders but have never seen that notification before.
