You go in the data room look at the mud logs, look at the electric logs, look at the maps, look at the offset wells, look at their interpretations, consider alternative interpretations, look at the test reports, do your own calculations on test results, look at the seismic.

SUre JH used to put lots of stuff on the website, but its the raw data you go to inspect.

From my experience 3-6 months isn't an unreasonable period for a farmout process.

REview the data, put a value on it, get board approval to make an offer, negotiate offer, negotiate JOA..it takes time.
