I think its safe to say that given the history at Hillgrove nobody will be throwing large amounts of money at it untill the existing plant has been taken to its limits first. At the moment its configured around concentrate with regards to ANTIMONY and to a lesser degree GOLD but can be configured to produce ANTMONY ingots and refractory GOLD which can be done with limited capital expenditure.

So its hard to imagine anything much happening at Hillgrove beyond what the existing plant can provide and has proven what its limitations are , those limitations will only be throughput a larger plant would be using the same processes just on a bigger scale.

When you aquire a reasonably modern plant in good condition for cents in the dollar why would you do anything else initially. So the issue for me is more about the timing of the initial transition to METZ and that has some uncertainty around it and will they stick to the current three stage approach or jump a stage which would mean delays.

Whatever they do any expansion beyond the current operation requires a lot more drilling, more permitting , more planning, more money, expanded tailings dam and the list goes on, so won't happen anytime soon.

The new board member would have been invited to join the board and quite possibly at Mel's suggestion or encouragement, after all he is a board member himself and has to work with him, but regardless he is there because of his particular skills and connections and that should be a long term positive. Mel's runs the show and that's unlikely to change , he has done a good job with small and tricky ore bodies IMO.

Anyway I would rather have him at the coalface than some of the anonymous wannabe mangers that haunt HC...

    Cheers Whisky
