very strange day indeed....
1.2m oppies traded with an effective (exercise plus option value) share price of 51.5 at close.
compared to...
1.2m shares traded with a close of 37.5
that more than accounts for the time value of money!! they only expire in October 2008 - its not like these are 5 year options!! also, i can not remeber seeing the option volume as high as the share volume before...
i wonder what is happening. is it just news coming? or is something more sinister happening (ie someone accumulating in preperation for a takeover or a takeover block)? maybe its just irrelevant noise??
any ideas?
