WPL's MD's address says 2 "exploration" wells. They are also planning 2 appraisal wells on Banda. The other wells that HDR talks about are one in Block 7 (I believe that the Dana/HDR JV have agreed to drill this well in late 2003) and possibly one in Block 1 (Dana/HDR/Energy Africa JV to decide after 3D seismic interpretation is completed in June). That's a maximum of 6 altogether if all are drilled.

WPL's recent investor presentation (late March) says they are planning for production and exploration offshore Mauritania so it looks fairly certain that Chinguetti will get the go-ahead.
