Enough of this crap from the Board and Management. They are just digging themselves into a deeper and deeper hole. And while I couldn't give two hoots about the impact on them as individuals given their blatant corruption, its only delaying and reducing the opportunity to restore credibility in the company and hence our investments.
The absolute gobbledygook in today's release beggars belief.
"Over the last 10 years, due to the highly variable nature of SRX’s business, annual dose sales growth has ranged from 14.0% (FY2010) to 80.1% (FY2006), with an average annual growth rate of 24.5%."
That very statement discredits their own argument. The fact that in the past ten years dose sales growth has NEVER been below 14%, means that any likelihood that dose sales would be below 10%, especially after forecasting that they wouldn't be, is MATERIAL and therefore requiring of disclosure.
It all comes down to:
- the months July, August, September, October and November 2016.
- whether sales in those months were consistent with market expectation and hence the need, or otherwise, to report a variance.
- whether sales in those months were consistent with the double-digit growth prediction made at the AGM, and effectively confirmed at the R&D presentation
- whether Wong sold his shares at a time when A REASONABLE PERSON would have recognised that the actual sales in the first four of those months were indicative of a significant under-performance of sales growth, hence requiring disclosure, hence making his an insider trade.
The Board could put all this to bed by disclosing month-by-month sales. We'd all be apologising profusely if sales in July, August, September, and October were showing above 10% growth vs pcp.
Moreover, the reasons (more correctly "corruption facilitators") touted by the board and management for not disclosing monthly sales: reduced SP volatility and reduced "what's happening" queries have been exposed as the sham that they are. There is no longer anything to be gained by keeping the monthly sales secret.
Disclose the monthy sales - they are only going to be subpoenaed in the not too distant future anyway - and see if you can retain a shred of credibility.
At the moment, the strategy being adopted by Wong and his cronies brings Obied and Einfeld to mind.
Enough of this crap from the Board and Management. They are just...
