I mentioned IVA as there was a link to a newspaper article that said OZL were a party bidding for some of IVA's assets. The last IVA presentation had some costs associated with the mines. C1 for block caving for Mt Elliot was ~ 90c/lb, but capital was $1.2B for about 50,000tpa of copper.
I agree that from the outside, the tonnes and cost seem closer to P Hill metrics for half the tonnes per annum.
But when you own shares in a company, you have to trust that management can do the right thing by shareholders (otherwise why continue to hold?) TB has shown diligence and patience in any M&A and has refused to destroy shareholder value. I would expect him to continue that track record.
