I must admit that I was disappointed with the dividend announcement, not because there is no dividend, but the I dont give a sh_t attitude of it all.

A much better announcement would have encouraged security holders such as,

'To ensure the long term security of CER the board has advised that no dividend will be paid for this period. IAW Centro Retail Trust’s constitution, taxable income is paid as distributions and the board looks forward to rewarding security holders when the next results are released. CER is performing in line with market guidance.

The other point is the legality of not paying distributions. Did they vote on it at the AGM, they would have won as CNP own 51%, but does the board have the right to override the constitution without a vote. Boards I have been on can't. Like I said my real concern is the half ar$ed announcement.
