Peter Cook had estimated the UK 10.6m courses could earn as much as 18m AUD in royalties, that is 1 course = approx 1.70 Aud royalties.
Initially GSK had originally prepared 3 million packs, which was sufficient to meet 50% of an average year Total antiviral prescriptions. (Does anyone know for sure the relationship between “packs” and “courses” ?)
The “additional Relenza to Japan” consist of 0.4m packs in Feb and 0.6m in March with another 1 m in Apr (next quarter).
I am guessing the 0.4m and 0.6m is to replenish stock expected to be sold the preceding month, that is 0.4m to replace Jan sales; 0.6m replaces Feb sale and the 1m replaces Mar sales thus giving a total sales of 2.0m packs from the Jan to Mar quarter. Is 1 pack = 1 course? If it is then the Japanese royalty is ~ $3.4 m
UK pandemic order? Given that it was announced end of Jan, I am guessing none of it will be filled this quarter.
