Personally i hope that Hotcopper keep the property forum. Besides, most have come on this site to talk stocks and the property forum seems to be just an add-on anyway. But in all honesty I cant see any reason why it should be removed at all. Sure there are a lot of irritating posters on here including those with vested interests as well as some who may use the forum as an advertising medium, hence why the moderators monitor the site as well as have created the 'ignore' function. People should learn to use that first before considering taking the 'property tab' away from Hotcopper.
Well done to the posters who contribute quality here as well as adding some balance, external viewpoints and arguments to the avalanche of non sense that we get from the mainstream media, lobbyists and other, at times, 'undeclared' vested interests and editorial advertisers.
