yes china's rare earths restrictions on japan is what got LYC funded all those years ago. no other aussie project has come online since LYC and there have been no new projects in allied countries either. i dont think the chinese will be so stupid to ban rare earths again seeing what it did last time, they would be better of surging production and driving prices down, making new projects uneconomical.
that's why we need government intervention to make dubbo stack up otherwise we won't get any investment. same for NTU, ARU and HAS.
