my families actually from syria, we immigrated in the 60's (dads) and 80's (mums) and i used to go for a holiday there every few years.
wasn't paradise but they were living and surviving! Now they're experiencing hyperinflation because the US has destroyed half the country, funded jihadis to fight and attack there for 10 years and now steals their wheat and oil.
the US should learn to but it's head make no m9stake out once in a while and recognise that the profits of its military industrial complex do not supercede the whole world.
