Japanese interests have tied their affiliations thus far with Lynas , because of their advanced manufacturing nature ....but where is the wider Asian interests ( ex China ) , Europe and the UK ...and the USA , requiring Nd Pd and Terbium going to source their growing and competing supplies ??
No doubt why ASM has made the US Agreements in has ...and has strongly suggested that its discussions for further Agreements with further companies in these other jurisdictions are well advanced !!
Lynas just can't supply all of these needs ..and indeed , because of the KMP in Korea , can't ( as yet at least ) supply the upstream NdPd and soon TerbiumTb Alloy strips to go straight into magnet manufacturing .
Interviews like Rowena Smith did with Jack Lifton on Investorintel , are a very big advance in marketing the awareness of ASM to a wider audience ---but I sense the big companies like Posco/ Hyundia / Seimens/ General Electric to name just a few , are already well aware of what KMP can and is intending to do ..as well as the long term raw material suppy chain that Dubbo( Toongi ) provides .
