The lady was saying that the U.S. shouldn't have an over reliance on Countries like Australia which may have their own market priorities and limitations.
What occurred to me as a way around their problem was to invest heavily in a company like ASM and make it more aligned with the U.S.
Looking at it from ASM's point of view it could mean one or more metal plants in the U.S. and a very bright future if it happens. Also offtakes from Dubbo fed into the plant although the options for sales once they are producing look pretty bright to me.
