raising $500m at $10 would have meant lot fewer shares on issue and would have set a floor to the SP which would have probably settle at around $4 now. ASM would have lot of cash now and no debt. Some of that cash would have been used for day-to-day operations and removed the need to do any more CRs.
I think the reason why ASM did not do it was because IG could not afford it. Even now he can hardly afford it as he sells ALK shares to participate in ASM CRs - it seems.
And I really hope ASM to get to a point where they need to do bigger CR so IG can sell even more ALK shares and losses more control of ALK.
