Mmmm, good insights there. Joshua had a lot of praise for ASM and backed up the recent positivity from Rowena about the US government support that might be forthcoming. Some good positive feedback also on the willingness of downstream buyers to pay a ex-China premium for their metal/magnet inputs.
I had wondered why ASM had switched their recent focus to HREE metals at KMP and that connection to the HREE dominant Round Top mine of USARE seems likely now. USARE may have asked ASM to prove they were able to produce those heavy metals at scale via their proprietary LK process for when Round Top comes on-line (some years away as you say)
There also seems to be some similarities between the Dubbo resource of ASM and Round Top of USARE in that both are polymetallic with a range of non-REE strategic minerals also. In addition to rare earths, Dubbo has hafnium, zirconium and niobium whilst Round Top has gallium, hafnium, zirconium, beryllium and lithium. So they have hafnium and zirconium and may be able to collaborate on those down the track, noting that the current ASM Dubbo strategy is to focus on rare earths under Stage 1 and defer Hafnium and Zirconium until a later date.
