    Yes I agree that if there were many more funds following the RE sector there would be more demand for shares. The point I was making that if we look the current situation the inclusion of ASM as a very small component of some of these global indices is not going to have the same impact on the SP than Van Eck has recently had. I was also hoping to get some idea of what current funds are actually tracking indices that include ASM.

    We can worry about future funds if and when they exist and we may first find out if the buyers far outnumber the sellers. ASM took off without us even knowing at the time that Van Eck was accumulating. As I have indicated previously it may be a double edged sword. If they have to unload ASM to match a new index weighting after the end of November it might be a buying opportunity for some. The opposite may also apply.
