The "Western World" needs to unite around supply chains that are reliable and independent.
I presume ASM and others have a vital role to play ... and imagine if a major ASX 50 company organised mergers and takeovers?
The situation needs imagination by (a) industry and (b) political leaders.
I am confident about (a) and unsure about (b)
BHP, RIO, FORTESCUE, AND OTHERS, ARE YOU ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL ? LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN
Generous takeover offers in cash, or shares, or both, could be part of a golden future.
Companies which hold out and structure to be independent could benefit as much, or even more.
