Big step change coming, they need processing options
Looking at the benefit states it should attract Republican support, so hopefully smooth sailing. I doubt if they want to make it headlines and spook the population by stalling. If they go down a hub scenario then we'll be in it.
We could quickly assist with their stockpiling if they can guarantee feedstock (same as current SK offtake). They probably needed legislation to create a head of power for the stockpile, Govt financing, and mechanisms for taking China market power out of the equation (resource hording, undercut pricing, withdrawal of supply ).
Things could move quick for us once the act is legislated. I get the sense that more has been happening in US for ASM than explicitly stated and is potentially under wraps for post legislation announcements and assistance (funding, land or repurposed facilities, tax incentives, offtakes etc).
2022 won't be dull for ASM
