Just a general comment about religions and deviance.
Probably most people who practice religions of many types,even what may appear loopy to many of us are sincere and moderate.
Unfortunately religions also offer an ideal vehicle for the expression and carrying out of the most base and perverted human desires. They therefore attract some very ill, and even evil characters.
There are also some of the most noble and advanced individuals in religions.
Religions have often to wear the opprobrium for deviant and bizarre acts of the few,to the general detriment of the large majority of the rest.
Please note that I make no distinction about particular religions,as I believe my comments can be applied generally.
There will always be sects and anti-social groups in religions as in politics and other areas of human activity.
Just remember people: Be open minded but don't accept the Kool-Aid!
