Duck duck duck … “Thou shall not kill” is in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible it’s also in the Jewish Torah. The Torah in its entirety is considered by Christians to be the Old Testament. While I’m not sure it’s presented the same the Ten Commandments of which “Thou shall not kill” is in the Muslim Koran.
There are texts in all these Books that suggest you can defend yourself if attacked so that’s why the other guy always seems to get blamed for starting it…. If you every find him he’s in a lot of trouble!
Jesus suggested that it is better to turn the other cheek than to respond and get caught up in the you started it first thing yet he didn’t explain what the correct response was after both cheeks were sore.
