No he didn't. If he had given up his life, he wouldn't have come back! The fact that he came back means he HADN'T given up his life. Just left earth temporarily.
He knew in advance that all this would happen - that's not a sacrifice.
One post you say "Jesus is God, Jantimot...", now you say "God his father"; and wonder why people find christianity confusing ....
Why would a compassionate, caring god allow hell to exist, let alone condemning people to go there for eternity. You've got the wrong god from somewhere.
