goon, I agree. It was no sacrifice. Sacrifice is when you lose something. And being the son of god, as well as god himself, he would know everything that was going to happen in the future ..... a completely unrisked event. No love involved - and therefore Jesus was not the son of god.
A husband giving up a kidney for his wife - there is a true sacrifice of love (or, perhaps, duty). No guarantee of either living through the operations, or success for the wife, and future risk for the husband.
