disherwood, I do look at things logically. By his nature man is religious. You caould destroy all the religions on the earth but man would come up with religion again. That is beacause we are flesh and spirit and our spirit yearns for our spirirtual home.
It is strange you should pick the stopping of the sun from the Bible to poke fun at it and at religion.
The sun actually stopped in 1917 (October 13, 1917) and the fact was widely reported by those who saw it in Portugal. It was witnessed by about 70 thousands, even sceptics and atheists.

And I think the resurrection of someone is much more remarkable than any sun stopping. But then I am biased.
