Religion was created by those in power to control the masses. Creating a superior being to punish you if you did not follow the rules has worked very well in most instances. Don’t get me wrong going to church and learning right from wrong is good but to believe there is a superior being in heaven looking after all of us is in my opinion pretty far fetched. Religions of various kinds tend to make the rules to suit what they want the masses to believe and necessary to control them.
I have spent my time in church and believe that I have a fairly good grasp of what is right and wrong and it is my own conscience that makes me do the right thing not some superior being in the sky that will punish me if I don’t.
