And I suppose that you don't see the irony in that on several levels which include

1. If there is a condition attached to love then it is not unconditional. Even a good parent would love their children unconditionally.
2. If a threat is involved in unconditionally giving yourself "to him" then that action is under coercion and not the result of love and free will.
