I strongly believe they just can't do that. If it was as easy as this, no off-take agreement in the world would be a binding one. Any company that didn't like its off-take agreement would sell the project to a pre-arranged shell company, possibly owned by the same gang. I strongly suppose Starck's off-take agreement is tied to Abu Dabbab in such a way that either any buyer would have to take GIP's place in the contract (same terms) or GIP would not be allowed to sell it. Starck didn't give up its very strong position when GIP asked for it repeatedly so I would not expect them to give it up for somebody else either.
