re: mob - much more upside - absolutely Lara

Most customers wouldn't even know they were on the Vodafone network, MOB are a reseller ... with their own branding/packaging. Importantly MOB HAVE the customer relationship (the most critical part of the "goodwill").

I recall Telstra paying out aggregators in the mid 1990's - these people weren't even legally liable for the debt!! They all become instant millionaires when the database was bought back. Jonathan Marchbank (MOB director) was running MobileNet at the time ...

Dependent on the ARPU (quality of the $ per subscriber), I reckon there will be a considerable sum of money to get back 147,000 subscribers. I don't know if they are in a position to sell to the highest bidder????? Number portability is a wonderful thing!!!

As far as payouts are concerned, I think you are right, Vodafone will put it all together and come up with some "deal" for the lot.

If you think 45 mil, then that surely makes it 47 cents (40 plus 6.8 NTA)?

I still reckon the database alone is worth $30 mil. At $250 a subscriber, it's only 4 to 5 months of revenue ... compare that to developing and managing the business for another 10 years ... what is the goodwill worth??

    Phil
