I have just returned from there. Spent 4 weeks talking to Government about a business venture and an issue about a payment paid to high level police to have a serious issue dropped. Regardless of what that forum said I bet they did not get about the work place. I did state they are talking positive and are making an effort to change the view of what people have of Thailand. I was impressed but the locals shrug it off.
They are building a new Constitution in which they want all people to get involved in. It is hoped to be released in May and then Elections.
I would like to state that the average person in Thailand is all for change and a better life. They like Australian people as we are caring for their needs. But they tell us we have to give a DONATION..it is used for us to get past the front desk. If we do not accept that we do not get a 2nd meeting. They have their doubt about the government being able to shut down the corruption to a reasonable level.

Corruption is how Thailand works. Do not think that a change in Government, a new constitution or anything else will change this country. Australians like most other people are tolerated, not liked. The only reason to enter political seen in Thailand is to make money. End of the story.
