Under the Public Health Order, Bunnings is currently classified as ‘general retail’ which means we do have an obligation to check customers’ vaccination status.
All customers who are eligible for a vaccination (12 years and two months and older) must show vaccination status before they enter our stores.
We ask customers to be patient and respectful as our team carries out this requirement.
The Government has provided guidelines regarding acceptable proof of vaccination status; as follows:
- COVID-19 digital certificate shown via Service Victoria app.
- COVID-19 digital certificate saved to smartphone wallet.
- Printed copy of COVID-19 digital certificate.
- Printed copy of Immunisation History Statement with either full vaccination status or evidence of medical contraindications.
Customers who are not vaccinated can continue to shop our range online using our Drive and Collect or Click and Deliver services.
Face Masks
In line with Victorian Government guidelines, we require all trade customers and team members to wear a face mask when visiting our Victorian stores and sites, unless medically exempt.
Sausage sizzles
Sausage sizzles will return progressively from this weekend as our store teams book groups in and take them through the health and safety requirements in line with the VIC reopening roadmap. We expect to have most stores back up and running over the next few weeks.
Cafes
Cafés will be open for both dine in and take away. Customers who dine in will be required to show proof of vaccination when requested by a café team member. This only applies to people over 16 years of age.
QR codes
Customers will be required to register their visit by using QR codes located at and near the entrance as well as throughout our stores.
Drive & Collect
Drive & Collect is a contactless service that allows customers to purchase items online and arrange a convenient time to collect them from a Bunnings car park, without needing to get out of their car. It's available at all Victorian Bunnings stores.
